Independence Day Celebration in Leesburg, VA Starts Early and Ends Late
Leesburg and all of Northern Virginia know how to celebrate freedom. The celebrations across the state are second to none, and it’s no surprise considering that our nation was pretty much born here. The point is you won’t need to travel far from your new home at Bellemeade Farms to take part in the festivities.
The festivities in Leesburg, VA begin with a parade at 10 a.m. through Historic Downtown Leesburg starting at Ida Lee Park, continuing down King Street to Fairfax Street.
Activities will take place all day at Ida Lee Park capped off by a concert from rising star Savannah Jack. The gates for the concert open at 6 p.m., the concert begins at 6:30 p.m. and the fireworks display launches at 9:30 p.m.
A full food court will be available loaded with funnel cakes, ice-cream, barbeque and other All-American goodies. Feel free to bring your blankets, folding chairs and coolers.
Parking
- Parking is available at Ida Lee Park with overflow parking in the lacrosse field.
- The Loudoun County Garage, located behind the County Government Building on East Loudoun Street, just west of Harrison Street has 400 spaces available.
- The Town of Leesburg Garage, located beside the Leesburg Town Hall with entrances on West Market or West Loudoun Streets has 300 spaces available.
